Full Spanish Language Immersion.
Children have an incredible natural ability to absorb language, especially during the early years. At The Dahlia School, our toddler and primary classrooms offer a full Spanish-immersion experience, allowing children to build language naturally through meaningful daily interactions, songs, stories, conversation, cultural exploration, practical life activities, and purposeful Montessori work.
A Wider World Through Spanish Immersion
Dual-language learning supports children’s rapidly developing brains while opening their eyes to a wider world rich with culture, connection, and diverse communities. In our prepared Montessori environment, Spanish becomes more than a subject; it becomes part of how children express themselves, build relationships, and make sense of the world around them.
Life Skills Rooted in Montessori
Our curriculum nurtures language development alongside essential life skills. As children follow their curiosity, make thoughtful choices, care for their classroom community, and engage deeply with purposeful work, they strengthen focus, memory, problem-solving, flexibility, and independence. Through both individual and collaborative experiences, children develop a love of learning, self-confidence, respect for others, the ability to work independently and with peers, and a strong sense of self.
“This school is authentic Spanish immersion and the kids are thriving within this environment. I was skeptical at first, thinking that a full immersion program could lead to less proficiency in English (kinda silly thinking about it now). The reality is that my older kid now communicates with Spanish speakers... in Spanish, while I am sitting on the sidelines asking “wait, what does that mean?”. Yes, my 6 year old is translating and teaching me Spanish... in broad day light... in public. I’m embarrassed and proud at the same time.”
“Our mind, as it is, would not be able to do what the child’s mind does. To develop a language from nothing needs a different type of mentality. This the child has. His intelligence is not the same kind as ours.”
